I graduate in three days.

Yes siree bob.
Graduation has finally arrived, and I could not be more excited, with a sliver of terrified.
It is taking me a while to grasp the fact that I am actually about to graduate from high school. I never thought this day would come. I remember in elementary school looking at all the "big kids" in their caps and gowns. And now that I have mine, wow those things are hot..and I look like a dork in my cap.
Worth it.
My parents are always reminding me of Psalm 16:6,
"the lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed I have a beautiful inheritance."

As graduation fast approaches, I'm constantly amazed by God's goodness to me. I can not even express how incredible it is that I will be going to UGA with Grayson, and that I actually made it through high school! There were days when I thought I couldn't do it.
Here's to new challenges and new phases in life, and most importantly,
here's to God's goodness, providence and sovereignty in every aspect of my life.

"for I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11

acceptance letter. such a beautiful blessing of a day. even if they didn't put all of my name.

Class of 2011. it never gets old.

The bedding that Laura and I chose for our future dorm room. love it.

Never do I ever write on my Barbie calendar. I thought I'd make an exception.

And my new shoes for graduation! Hopefully I won't trip and fall. It is on Friday the 13th, you know...

favorite faces.

portrait photo contest!
I'm entering one, in hopes of winning the cutest camera strap cover I have ever seen.
I still have my standard black and red "Canon EOS Digital" strap...something pretty might be nice.
The last time Polka Dot had one of her awesome giveaways, I entered and actually thought I won...
but, it was another girl named Mary Catherine.
a tad defeating, I gotta admit (:
I'm back again though! with two of my fondest portrait shots.
and yes, it took me forever to just chose two.
Portraiture is definitely by far my absolute favorite.
so a contest solely focused on it? perfect.

Benjamin.
The youngest of the family that I've babysat for over the years. I love those five kiddos with all my heart.
He's only two, but this little boy can have the expressions of an old man as he sizes up the world around him. This shot portrays him so well, from his soulful little eyes to the faint remnants of lunch on his sweet face.

Katelyn.
This girls gorgeous smile can light up a room, and let me tell you, her laughter is infectious.
This shot was a result of her trying to escape from being photographed, saying that she's not photogenic.
I beg to disagree. Suprisingly, she ended up loving this as much as I do.

athens!

Athens, Georgia.
I love it there. And I was constantly reminded this weekend as I visited how God always provides, perfectly.
My family will be moving nine hours away from me this summer, but I'll be going to college with Gray! It was so amazing to see God work through it all: from the seemingly fast decision of the move to my somewhat suprising acceptance to the University of Georgia. so many blessings!
I also got to meet my future roommate, Laura - who is absolutely awesome.
And visit my future church, Redeemer Presbyterian. I love it so much.

Twilight race!

Laura!

Grayson:)
