Momma and the wonderful hat and scarf she made me that I'm in love with.
the buttons on my hat are from the 1930's, from Hungary.

welcome to New Orleans.

A few days before Christmas, we took a family trip to the lovely New Orleans!
Stayed right on the river -  ate some wonderful food and enjoyed the sights on the French Quarter.

here I overheard a little girl ask her daddy where Princess Tiana was...

I almost lit a candle.. then realized you were supposed to pay. oops.

then we found a convent - Louisiana's first.

 Grayson's turn at photographer.

Christmas pictures coming soon!

thanksgiving.

yes, I realize that we're coming up on Christmas now, and I am way behind on my posts.
But finals hit UGA this past month and I was forced to put everything pleasurable on hold for a little while.  Now I'm home though!
(a long late drive after my art history final yesterday afternoon - got in super early this morning)
And I have lots of time to spam up my little blog.

back to Thanksgiving..
on our long drive home, Grayson and I decided to tell the family that we were several hours behind our actual travel time. Nathan had a soccer game, and we had told them that we wouldn't be able to make it.
But, we left at five in the morning and showed up for it anyways!

Lots of random happy things over the break, and of course my camera came with.
Momma and Nathan, look at the little man, sporting his lovely UGA wear.

Now, for all the happy food pictures that I took on Thanksgiving Day.
We deep fried our turkey this year - a new tradition that tasted like heaven.

over the week, I had to fight for the Christmas card picture. Me and my momma heard no end of grief about it from the boys; but we actually got a good one - which I can't share yet.

we put up the Christmas tree!
and after taking this I was told that "no one's in the mood for pictures right now, Mary Catherine."

All throughout the week I was working on a wreath for my mom. Made out of old book pages and pearls! Hundreds of little roses - burned my fingers with the hot glue gun more than I would like to admit, but it turned out wonderfully and she loves it.

the most precious dog that ever walked the planet.

and there's Thanksgiving.
