february.

a round of catch-up.

got a picture with Hairy Dawg - check off the UGA freshman bucket list.

and then one night, Jessica and Perry and I decided we wanted to put a little color in our hair.
Perry - blue.
Jessica - pink.
Me - both.

February meant preparing for midterms..

but we all made time for breaks..

like with a banjo..

or a king cake from Louisiana..

or late night de-stress sessions with hall mates

and a little bit of sleep if you were really lucky.

in my three dimensional design class, we didn't have a midterm, but a project.
we were assigned to pick a painting, and to find and recreate the movement within that painting.
but,
in a 12x12x12 cube that we had to design and construct.
my piece was inspired by J.W. Waterhouse's Circe Invidiosa -
I used wooden dowels spray painted black for the cube,
hardware cloth for the "ceiling",
and fishing line and fishing weights for the movement.

two weeks of my life.

nostalgia.

Yesterday, Nathan, Morgan (Nathan's girlfriend) and I took a little visit to the stables where Morgan works.  Nathan had told her how I used to ride and we all thought it would be fun to go.
Despite the ever present rainy weather, we had a wonderful time -
and I forgot how much I missed horse breath.

the High Museum of Atlanta

on the 28th, my friend Meredith and I went to the High Museum -
for the Picasso to Warhol exhibit.
unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to photograph that part of the museum.
but here's just a few pictures of our weekend.

And now that I'm home on spring break and midterms are no more
(praise the Lord!)
there will hopefully be more consistent updates.
